yes on the water pump...for sure. That price is not terrible...esp at a dealer. We have a mechanic whom does work out of his house...and our charge was still over 700.00....so your price is not terrible.

I am doing the timing belt soon, can I ask for everything you guys recommend I do at this point with it?

Belt, water pump, tensioner? Is that it?

Thanks so much.

The other idler pulleys, in addition to the tensioner. Cheap. And the other posters are correct - rarely does the belt break or jump as the primary reason (assuming your not trying to get 250K miles out of it!). It is almost always secondary to the bearings that make up the belt's pathway.

Thanks!

Belt, pump, tensioner, idler pulleys. Done?

And how much is "cheap"? I wanted to try buying from Sewell. Never have, not even sure how to get the CL discount.

Default Ok thanks to all!

I had Inskip Lexus replace my timing belt, water pump and thermostat. Their quote was $1000.
I paid $865. total bill out the door.

Needless to say I am happy with the price and knowing the dealer did the work gives me piece of mind.

Thanks to all who helped me.

$865 if it was an all inclusive job is a terrific price. Can you perhaps tell us the details of the service receipt so we can determine the parts replaced and work done?

Perhaps you can scan and post?

Thanks.

One option is to ask a reliable Toyota dealer to do your timing belt. Our engine is shared with Tundra.
