Buddy 2 questions
I hope you're doing well, your question is timely as I am looking for a solution myself.
I can not find the aux plug location on my 05PB. Where is the aux in plug hole?
Also I have moved from Mass to Williamsport PA any recommendations for Lexus service in my area? I think MotorWorld in Wilkes Barre is my closest Lexus dealer.
Thanks in advance
Andrew

I believe the white connector they show plugs into an available port on the back of the radio then the phone or ipad or i phone plugs into the bottom and the 3.5 phone plug goes to the device you plugged in to the adapter
I would ask the vendor for confirmation reff the install

From the photo I've attached (the back of a 2005 SC430 stereo- compliments of Ebay), there doesn't seem to be a 12 pin female outlet. So i'm not sure where the harness for the associated piece on the Ebay vendor's item in Post #1 would connect? It also states that you would have to remove the 6-disc changer harness, which would mean losing the function of the changer since the white harness isn't a pass through. Quite Strange
UPDATE>>> I found a better photo. There IS a 12 pin (7+5) asymmetric outlet, but the harness on the Ebay item is a 12 pin (6+6) symmetric female harness. Not sure how this would work, especially since the top row needs 7 pins and harness only has 6 spots. I've included two photos from two different years of SC430 and both have the same staggered configuration of the 12 pins (7+5). Sorry, 2005 is upside down.

This might be more applicable, but I still believe you'd lose the function of the CD player... http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEXUS-iPOD-iPHONE-MP3-AUX-INPUT-3-5MM-GS-RX-ES-IS-4xx-3xx-GX-470-SC430-US-SELLER-/271156435167?pt=US_Adapters&hash=item3f222ed8df&vxp=mtr
or there's the iSimple IS77 (which I and a few other CL members have) that doesn't involving changing or modifying harnesses and doesn't diable the CD changer. It's also available at Walmart.com. http://www.ebay.com/itm/IS77-iSimple-Tranzit-iPod-iPhone-MP3-Adapter-Aux-Input-Universal-Fm-Modulator-/281120499630?pt=US_Adapters&hash=item41741667ae
But if you choose the IS77, be careful as there are two generations available. If you want to be able to switch btn Aux and iPod "on the fly" you will need a Y splitter. I would never recommend using both inputs at the same time. Might blow the built in IS77 amp. Older generation IS77 uses RCA inputs that are easy to split using a RCA Y splitter. Newer generation IS77 has special clips that you'd have to buy a special Y splitter http://www.ebay.com/itm/Traxxas-2046-Servo-Connector-Y-Adapter-Revo-New-/390460376916?pt=US_Radio_Control_Control_Line&hash=item5ae9408754
Just some food for thought.

So I've been in contact with the vender in Post #1 and they said that if you purchase their product, be sure to tell them that you need the "Big 7+5" harness in the Notes section, and they will send you a unit that is the proper harness for our SC430s.
Also, under normal circumstances, the CD changer would be disabled UNLESS you choose to use a 5 + 7 Y splitter (can be found on the internet or stereo install shops). They said that they've had people use the Y-splitter and it works sometimes and not other times. Also the unit itself, should work on years from 2002 and up, but no promises as they haven't tested it yet. There is also no guarantee on the Y-splitter process since it's not their product. But if anyone wants to be the guinea pig, I'd be interested to know how it turns out. As I have the iSimple IS77, I would possibly upgrade to this b'c it allows iPod track selection from the steering wheel controls and track name across the radio screen. Any takers?

I'm still listening to my iPhone and iPod via the tape deck adapter which costs about $5.00. ($8.00 for a really good one.)
It's lo-tek, but the convenience can't be beat.

If you mean, "Track 54" then, yeah, maybe.
If you mean, "Just Give Me A Reason, P!nk Featuring Nate Ruess," I strongly doubt that.

I didn't see anything on the vendor's description that mentioned track name, although maybe I missed it. Do you have confirmation on that?

"Note:
1. Fits Toyota OEM radios by Panasonic and Matsu****a: 16852 ,12821 ,13803 ,17006 ,17828 ,50323 ,53816 ,
53818 ,58814 , 58816 ,58827, P3914 ,P3916 ,P7809 , A56828 , W53901 ,W53903, W53905, W58810, W58814,
W58824, W58831, B9002 Navigation System, etc
2. Supports ID3 tag(text display)
3. Does not work with iPhone 5 (can work with iPhone 5 via aux cable)
4. Does Not work with existing CD Changer (CD Changer port must be available and not in use)
5. May or may not work with existing Nav system (Please make sure the CD Chnager port at the back of the radio is not in use before ordering!)"
So if your music has the proper ID3 labelling (which is edited by using a computer, choosing the track, right click, properties, details...) then it would show, "Just Give Me A Reason, P!nk Featuring Nate Ruess,"

I emailed the eBay seller because that would be AWESOME. Unfortunately, here's the reply I got:
Hello
Sorry for the late reply.
In some cases only, the song id will work.
It depends on radio type and firmware.
To be honest, we had removed that feature from the item page and some how it returned during an item revision.
So to answer your question, no it will most likely will not work.
Regards

I found the sound to be great, but almost all of my listening is to podcasts and books. The spoken word has a much lower dynamic range than music, especially classical (orchestral) music. I have heard that good music is not as rich coming through this tape deck device, but in that I only have hearing in one ear and am only listening to chatty podcasts, I really can't tell. If you love classical music in the car, you would not be playing that from a compressed MP3 anyway - you would be using the CD player or FM radio, both of which, in this car, sound very, very good.
