Default 04 SC430 P0131 bank 1 sensor 1 O2

I recently had the CEL, VSC and VSC Off MILs. Went to Advanced AutoParts for a scan and got the codes PO0131 as well as C1201. Formthe 04, this the drivers side upstream O2 sensor located before the cat. I disconnected the battery but that didn't work. Imtriedmthe jumper between row 1, pin 3 and row 2, pin 5, as described in another thread which has worked for some members but it didn't work.

Given I have a extended warrany I thought I try that at a Lexus dealer. The work was approved under warranly less a deductable of $100. Two hours labor and $210 part. Even though the Denso part was about $91 I was short on time and wanted to get something out of the warranty before it expires.

O2 sensor drivers side is only accessible from underneath. You have to remove the heat shield to access the sensor and connector. The cable is ablout 4" to the connector. Very tight quarters.

The code C1201 is a failure of the EMS engine management system but often is thrown with other codes ... Cleared with the O2 sensor replacement.
