Lexus #1 is 2013 by consumer reports
Consumer reports recently published reliability ratings based on make. Lexus was number 1, followed by Subaru and Mazda. Just behind were the other Japanese brands like Toyota, Acura, Honda, etc. The lowest reliability of the Japanese brands (ie, the worst of the best) was Infiniti and Nissan.
The second tier reliability was populated largely by German cars such as Mercedes, BMW, and Audi. I think Audi was predicted to be the most reliable of German cars followed by Mercedes.
The next cluster of vehicles were most American brand. The worst vehicle is predicted to be Jaguar.

If you have a subscription to consumer reports, then you can see the nice visual of the 2013 Reliability "Report Card".
I just thought I would post this because I noticed several discussion about people considering buying Mercedes, or even Jaguar, to replace your lovely and reliable sc430. Shame on you!! lol
