All done! Just waiting for the new modified switch (a really easy install) but everything is completed. Wired and everything. Sound is great for the Media Player; synced up and everything since it's hardwired rather than wirelessly transmitted. I will say that the Bluetooth does "flick" once in a while when I stream music from my phone. Like a little dropped beat, but very rarely. I'm going to assume that's it my phone b'c it's a P.O.S. The bluetooth sound quality is fair, hardwire sound is amazing! Cd quality I would say. I can also use the basic controls from the Arion unit like next or previous track and adjust the volume. The voice command on my Android even works through it. I tried a phone call yesterday to my own answering machine, and it was incredibly clear. Pretty cool. Also, if I choose to run my iPod or a passenger's iPhone, it will charge and play through the 30 pin connector I put into the center console compartment. Got the reverse camera (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Crimestopp.../24458422?_mm=) installed too! Really clean. I chose to add the distance marker option. Anyway, here are some pics. If you have any questions, gimme a shout! Next projects: 5% tint, smoked out tail lights, then spacers!

That's all folks! Total project cost was about $450.

I am helping a couple of members with similar installs, playing off the one that I have posted in this thread. I made a diagram for the specifics of how I installed my DRY CONTACT (0 Volt Output) RF switches and thought I might as well post it here, as it may be of use to someone sometime down the road. The top portion is what occurs at the cigarette lights below the radio, and the bottom portion is what occurs in the trunk. Hope it's all pretty self explanatory.

So just a small update. It's been almost 10 months and all my electronics are working perfectly! The media player, NAVIKS, reverse cam, and Aux inputs work just like day 1. I did, however, finally save up enough money to buy a VaisTech SL3U. I finished the install today and love the clarity! I removed the iSimple IS77 FM Modulator and went back to the original antenna inputs. I also added an iSimple IS76Pro that allows me to charge and change track wirelessly on my iPod using an RF remote. I keep the iPod in the bottom of the center console. In addition, I can still use my Arion Bluetooth control to play music, change track, and answer calls off any Bluetooth device (like my android phone). Having the iPod charge and play cord makes life easier when I ride with my gf or friends since most have Apple products. Anyway, that's it for now. Thanks for reading!

If all I want is a rear view CAM, do I need to run anything to the front?

If you only want reverse cam, you only need to do work in the trunk. No need to run wires into the cab but you do need an integration device and of course a camera. I suggest NAVIKS, easily found on Ebay. I do however, think you should verify compatibility with NAVIKS (http://www.onewayautosports.com/) via telephone if you have a 2010 SC430. As for the camera, I chose a license plate camera and it was easy to install. Good luck. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I guess I should update this thread. I upgraded the iSimple IS77 to VaisTech SL3U and I'm so happy with the quality. Def much better than iSimple. All my other hardware still works perfectly with the new Aux Input Device. I redrew my schematic to give a little more insight if anyone runs this path. I like to download hour long video DJ mixes from Youtube and drive around downtown Chicago with the top down. The music syncs up to the video and people nearby can't help but to stare. Pretty dope.

So I had some requests to present the quality of the sound and the video on my mod... I've posted a few video links with descriptions. The first three are examples for quality and sound, the fourth shows how I still have use of the touch screen and can toggle between video and navigation. The voice turn commands still come through just like OEM intended. The video quality is amazing but my phone is quite a P.O.S. (ZTE Flash N9500). I wish I had a nicer camera to show the quality. I tried to capture text in the video so you can tell when the camera is trying to autofocus. The media payer also has brightness and contrast adjustment, but again my camera is altering the image. The screen images on the DVD screen are clean, crisp, clear. There's no hesitation or skipping in the video feed and the sound syncs up perfectly. These clips are from a 720p video, just to show the quality. Click "Close to Play."

Just did 2100 miles in 5 days from Chicago to South Oklahoma and Back with stops in OKC, KC, and STL. Watched movies and stand up comedy the entire way down and back with my lady in the passenger seat. Everything works perfectly and the drive went by so quickly! So happy with this mod.

Sorry for the late reply. I'm not sure if this mod works with the LS460. Sorry.

Really can't tell how a RCA plug video source would look..is it CRT quality, aka 420 vert. res? How crappy is it? Granted, you're not going to be displaying HD quality with RCA cables but I thought I heard the display (NAVIKS) could lop off a bit of the picture, at least for iphone vid.
It seems crazy that this device didn't have mirroring for ipod video/tablet etc. It must have been designed bout' the same time as the SC430. I think they're out of production.
I'm also not clear why the company which utilized the dvd nav player for video was taken off this site. Obsolescence? Did people have to give up nav in order just to play one weenie dvd?
