You should be commended on rescuing a beautiful car. Good on you Sir.
It is also the kind of work on an SC that I wholly approve of, not that my approval carries any weight for anyone else. It boggles my mind when people start screwing with what I consider the very nicest car I have ever owned, including BMWs, MBs, etc..

To OP re: bad radio reception.
When i had my windshield replaced i think the guy mentioned there's an antenna ground that connects to the front of car somewhere...not sure if this may help but thought id mention.

Not just a ground. There's another antenna in the glass. Might not be there if it was an aftermarket replacement vs a Lexus OEM windshield replacement.
