downstream oxygen sensor replacement
Just wanted to post up for anyone to see the brillance of toyota engineering. Now I am a huge fan of Toyota, but this is silly. We are talking about toyota sc430 downstream o2 sensor. Mine was showing a fault code, so was time to swap.
Looking at the manual, it does not help much, so i went out and pulled at the wire that passes through under the car inside the cabin under the carpet. Came back into CL and did research, sure enough the connection is inside the console.
Well, to get to the sensor, you have to pull the center console then. So, you pull out the center console, still no wiring harness. Then pull the radio and the climate control. Then the under steering wheel and glovebox to pull back the carpet.
So 3 hours later you finally have access to the wires.
Total time to swap out the sensor for me 14 minutes. To plug it in 6 hours.
See pics below. You are looking at the driver side, without carpet. In the first pic I am pointing at the connection, with love.

Help needed
I got a short from the driver's side post cat O2 sensor which triggered the codes, P0100, C1201, and C1561. I replaced the O2 sensor and cleared the codes and they still appear. Any word on what the issue is?
