First cut was good but too much tight..so I just drill again with little more force on corners. Maybe if I used something to hold the cover while drillig it would be safer and better from the first time.
Thanks I think I got the idea.

Nice work but I struggle with the projection having both the Lexus logo and the name. Either one or the other but not both but that's just me.

Some of the ebay sellers have a tag line that says they will make you what you want if you email them. That could get interesting. How long will it be before we have to look at virtual bull testes hanging from their truck doors?

I am like you, hence in my case I ordered the plain White. But to each his/her own I say.

Sorry to bump such an ancient thread, but we may have a more built-in option now, replacing the red plastic light in the bottom of the door with something like these

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2X-Lo...234725145.html

They range online from $10-20 if you look hard enough. Has anyone verified that they actually fit properly in SC430 doors???

Some of the listings say they fit in the SC430, others don't list them as fitting. They all look identical, so I don't want to order them before verifying.

I have some that are identical, but from a site called WindFireAuto. Much cheaper too. They fit properly, but with time and the heat from the lamp the logo chip does discolor and thus an additional way for them to make money. You can order a few extra logo chips and save yourself some headache later. You can also have them create a custom chip too! Pretty neat.

Ps. if you sign up for their mailing list you will get a huge discount on your first purchase.

This is awesome! No need for drilling and retrofitting! Very cool.

I purchased mine (all white) for $25 per set of 2 but had to do all of the drilling, etc. I installed them on the doors and one on the rear.

Did I ever tell you that the Lexus Dealership gave me a huge compliment about my puddle lights (when I brought the car in for the Air bag recall)? Everybody in the dealership were in awe. My service person called the rest of the guys to show my puddle lights. Reminds me I still have to get my airbag done.

I forget them until a friend would comment “hey that’s neat!”

Shawn, are these lights a direct plug and play door light replacement?

Looks like it is a direct fit.

I had to drill mine directly into the door (the puddle light projector).

I still have my regular LED door lights (I disabled it fearing the logo will not be as noticeable but it found out it was still OK) which turn on when I open the door-PLUS the Lexus Logo puddle light.

Then I have the one in the rear which is so cool. Also turns off after like in 15 seconds, auto-off.

It also appears that Lexus has been using the same door light fixture across their lines. You will notice that the same piece will fit a lot of cars (RX, IS, etc).

Yup these were plug and play. No need to drill or rewire. MandyFig, I believe you went with a better model that required more clearance and therefore your resultant drilling. These, that I've linked above, were an easy snap in place and good to go. I will say that you will have to adjust the chip to make sure you get it in logo the direction you want but it's easy enough to do with a small screwedriver or tweezers. I'm happy with mine, except that i need to get new chips about once a year. That's the bummer.

One additional note, these do not auto shut off after 15 seconds as MandyFig's therefore increased heat and lessens the life of the logo chip. Just something to keep in mind too.

That sounds really cool Mandy! I guess the rear projector would be a special install and not a direct replacement. I was hoping they had a replacement license plate light with the logo projector.

Hey Shawn, thanks for the reply, I signed up for the newsletter and received confirmation but have not received a discount email yet.

They list a pair at $40, does that sound correct?
