Bigger Tire on OEMs - 255/40 or 245/45
Just purchased a 2002 with 60K miles. The tires are awfully skinny on this car, I don't want to lower it either, been thinking about make the tires look alittle meatier while also filling the gap in. I mean I would understand this series tire to be on a 19" wheel, but for 18" wheel these tires are way too small. I don't give a hoot if it throws off the speedo.
Getting to the point:
Anyone running a 255/40/18 or a 245/45/18 on the OEM wheels. And btw a 255/40 will fit just fine on a 8" wide wheel for those who do not agree.

Ya thats what im thinking 245/45/18. Im trying to get close to a size like the 275/40, as that seems like it fills the gap the best, but the 245/45 seems quite a bit larger in overall diameter though. Not quite sure I want to go that large. So Im kinda torn between the 255/40 and 245/45 still.
