2007 Lexus SC430 Stock Air Box Modified
Hi all,
I modified my exhaust by removing the resonators and the sound turned out really great? See link...https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...s-removed.html
I saw other memeber modified their stock air box, so I did mine with K&N air filter. After both resonators and modified stock air box, the car is a lot more responsive and has a great sound. Enjoy.

Done! Everything is put back together.

Total time: 1 hr Cost: $20.00 (bought hose from Autozone)
Horse Power Gain: ~ 13 (10 HP from bigger y-pipe and removed bends with straight pipes; 3 HP from modified stock air box)

13 HP, how dis you calculate it? Did you put your car in a dynamometer?

Great job - that was me with the same airbox mod also with the K&N. I was just listening to your exhaust over the weekend - sounds great.
Mandyfig - I did get it on the dyno and checked the difference and more air added between 4-6 HP. Doesn't seem like much but I am pending installing the PPE headers, and am considering cutouts for the track when I can use the extra HP. So the package of those mods (intake, headers, exhaust or cutouts) should make for more power noticable on the track.
