Default Any After Market Parking Assist (or IPAS) for SC430?

Hi. I just bought a 2005 SC430 pebble beach edition and wondering if they make an after market parking assist option for it. Maybe it's new car jitters, but I think I might some help parallel parking this baby. I'm okay with any "don't do it!" responses too! :-)

You can look at the Poron Micro 6. Their web site pretty much sucks. There must be others out there but I don't know of any.

I had Poron sensors installed on a previous RX330. Excellent units

I was talked out of installing them by my dealer. They had installed them on someone's SC430 and ended up removing the front sensors. Apparently, because the front bumper is so low to the ground, the sensors went off with nearly every bump in the road. The rears were fine, but the front's not so much. You may want to consider this.

Front and rear sensors were either standard or available in the middle east and perhaps some other areas directly from Lexus - at least for model year 2010. I'd be interested in persuing if it is possible to install Leuxs original equip on my 2008. For that I'd need part numbers etc. Original equip usually works better than aftermarket! Anyone have nay info? Members from areas where those factory sensors were available--please respond!!

Thanks,

Dentate

Hi Dentate

Scarletti recently did a DIY on installing rear sensors and I am sure he posted details of the OEM ones in his post. Look up his threads and I am sure you will find it.

Cheers
Steve

Indeed! If you are after reversing sensors then check out my post https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...ensor-kit.html

You'll have to save up though... it's expensive... £10/$16 and a few hours of your time (mostly used by taking out trim and the rear bumper cover).

I wrote a "how to remove the rear bumper cover" guide, which you'll find essential -> https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...per-cover.html
