Default SC430 headlight help!!

I have a 2004 SC430. I only have one busted headlight, so therefore I will only have one 02-05 AFS motor. If I buy two used 06+ headlights off of ebay, what do i need to make them work correctly?

Do i need to purchase a 02-05 AFS motor?

How harder job is it to put the 02-05 motor in the 06 headlight?

Am I getting myself into a hell of a project, by switching the headlight years on my car?

Yes you need two 02-05 afs motors. Pull one out your busted headlight, and one out the working headlight.

It's not hard at all to switch the afs motors, just make sure you pop them back in properly to the hinged inner headlight housing.

There's a couple more things you need to look into that are described in other threads on the form if you look up "2006+ headlight upgrade" in the search bar.

1) You'll need the 2006 bumper to fit the 2006 headlights.
2) You should keep your leveling motors from the 2004 headlights to transfer to the 2006.
3) New bumper means you'll need a new grill as well

Costlyyy!
