I own a 2002 silver with ecru interior. The exterior looks brand new and the interior looks great except for the passenger and driver front seats. I have conditioned them on a regular basis. They have fine cracks that give the appearence of looking dirty. Has anyone either replaced the leather (who and how much) or used a company by the name of Fibrenew that reconditions them by filling in the cracks and staining or painting the seats?

Many auto upholstery shops do leather repair. You may want to call them up to see if they're repairable. I have not have leather seats repaired before, but did replace all leather on my E30 convertible.

Replacing the leather with new seats from Lexus would cost you a small fortune. I've had my wife's SC430 reconditioned by Fibrenew. Although it's not new leather, it does look much improved. For the cost, it's worth doing. Most of the lines and creases are not perceptible.

Wow, that is quite the deal. You'd have to wonder about the quality of the leather but still a good deal if done well. There are a number of folks with older SCs that would consider that, especially if they offer all the various color options.

I've read many posts in cleaning, dyeing, conditioning etc. the interior of our SC 430's. I've tried a couple of products (Lexol etc.) and either I'm not doing it right, long enough, or what ever...but it just seems to make the Ecru interior worse..not better.

I read this thread, and Googled Fibrenew, which has a franchise near me. Has anyone used Fibernew? Where you satisfied with the result? Was it reasonably priced for the result, etc.

Any feed back would be appreciated because "every day in every way" my SC 430 is looking and operating better and better! Should I introduce Fibreview to the front seats?

As I stated above, I used Fibrenew to recondition my wife's SC430 seats. She has the saddle color. The cost for all for seats was around $300 or so. It made the seats and center console look much better. My wife is very pleased with it.

Thanks for information about renewing the leather in my SC. I am going to find a shop in my area that can renew my Ecru interior. My car has only 44k on it but the leather is starting to look a little worn. $450.00 is not cheap but a lot less than replacing the leather. I will keep everyone posted with pics once it's done.
