Default A good story about a Lexus dealer

Its about we had a good story about a Lexus dealer. My 02 has a 3rd party warranty and my AC display had a couple of led bars missing and a rear speaker blown. After waiting a couple of days both parts came in and I added a oil change coupon from one of their competitors. Trying to schedule was a problem because of my upcoming retirement and scheduled party's (lol-I know, rough life) and I told the advisor or about it so he gave me a 2012 ES to use for 4 days-it didn't take them that long, it took me that long to get back to them. Turns out they ordered the wrong speaker. When I went back they gave me a new CT 200 hybrid, which I've never driven before. He warned me most people don't like them because it's small and not as luxurious as your typical Lexus. The gearshift is basically an electronic switch that you put in "D" at which point it returns to its starting point and you never touch it again. When you park you press a large button on the dash that looks like a keyless start button that is marked with a "P" (park). I was given a lesson on how to drive it before I left for dinner and shopping at the mall. Very interesting experience! Love the 45 mpg,but I felt like I was driving a Honda. And now the best part--I returned the key and went to the cashier to pay for the oil change and was told I owed nothing and felt a tap on my back--it was the service advisor who said it was on the house and to have a happy retirement. KUDOS to Crown Lexus and Hugo who was the really cool service advisor. Good to hear of the good guys and people who care!!!

So can we coin a new term "feelership"?

Thanks for the comments, guys. I am now off to my last meeting where I will get my retirement gift-an engraved rocking chair! I'm not really ready to retire at the young age of 62, so I will begin my part time job (70%) in two months. That's right, more time for some top-down travel. Life is good!

Congratulations on your retirement John.

I'm glad to hear that you are staying active, that's important! With the part time job also comes more top down opportunities, since you have to get there somehow.

This would be a better "feel good" story without that part!

Have fun in retirement!

The CT drives pretty well if you have it in SPORT mode. Normal mode is meh...
