Default To trade or not to trade

I have a 2006 SC 430 with 70K. The dealership says they have someone wanting to buy my car/even trade for the new 2012 IC S. I need your opinions!! I don't like the body style on the new one as much. I might be interested in a newer model SC 430 with fewer miles. The color of mine rocks and that is what the customer is looking for. Do I give mine up?

sounds like a sales tactic, i have the same color and 11k miles and its not worth as much as a 2012 ISC, thats just the fact of the value. I think the ISC is ugly and I also own a 2IS. The SC engine is solid I think you should keep your car dont trade up for a newer version of the same car unless you can get your hands on the 2010 sc430.

I too have the same color and love it. My simple answer is don't do it. People think the SC is made for women, but the IS C is the most flamboyant of them all IMHO. Stick with the SC. It is more unique, rare, and MUCH better looking. Plus, V8 > V6.

you still have tons of miles to go, car looks great and why spent your money when you don't need to. save your money and be happy. i have an 02 with 72,000. there are guy with 150,000 car still looks great and rides great with no problems, why spend the money.

There is no replacement for an SC except another SC. Yours is a beauty and still "young" comparatively speaking. Savor it. Every time I get in my car, I smile and feel very special. I bet you do too.

i'm sure anyone on this forum would pay you more then the stealer will give you as a trade.
take yoru car to a stealer and see what he offers you or see what he will give you out right no trade.
then post for- sale an see what offers you get.

70,000 is not a big selling point, and paint is cheap. I have a 2002 with less than 40,000 and it's not for sale because I can't think of anything to replace it with. Your car looks great, the color is wonderful; keep it.
