Impressive DIY. I was just happy to put in a cold air intake myself.

Thanks Liquid

I enjoy doing it, but once I have started such a big job (for me anyway), start to wish I hadn't.
Just don't have the custom/modding shops in the UK, so it's do it yourself or don't do it at all.
I would rather do this than the Luxlink which is still sitting on the shelf!!!

Best regards
Steve

Thanks gottagitmines.

If my car looks anywhere near as nice as yours when it is finally finished, I will be delighted.

Hi Gene

All those wires!!!!
I will probably get round to the Luxlink in the end, but I was hoping someone would post a full DIY.
If you do your first, give me some clues please.

If no one has posted a DIY before I do mine, I will do my best to post some help.

Best regards
Steve

Almost there now.

Finished all the trunk today and got the shocks adjusted to the correct height.
Just the height sensors to install now, starting that tomorrow. Hopefully she will ready to roll by next weekend.
Couple of pictures of the trunk with all the wiring and pipes going into the wheel well under the floor.

Take a few more shots tomorrow.

Thanks Barncat

Probably the biggest DIY I will ever do. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but it is almost done now.
Can't wait to get her on the road again.

Best regards

Steve

Almost done now.
Had a few problems with air leaks, but Zack @ UAS gave great me guidance with that and soon got it sorted.
Finished the trunk today and tidied it all up.
Decided to cut holes in the liner to get at the shocks without taking it all out again (although I hope they don't have to come out again anytime soon). You can see that the shock sits much lower with the adapters that Zack supplied for the Megans. I will find or fabricate caps for the holes at a later date.
Got the rear sensors fitted today also. Takes a lot of thought to working out the correct positioning so that you get maximum travel from max down to max up on the suspension (the more accurate you make it the more accurate the settings will be). You also have to make sure the wheel/tyre will not foul the operating rod. I won't be getting any wider wheels that's for sure as it only misses by about 1/4 inch.
The sensors have to move through 2 3/4 inches (or as near to it as poss.).
I made the brackets from ali (easier to work with) to position the sensor where I wanted it. Very little to fix to in our wheel wells because of the plastic liner.
I drilled and tapped the top wishbone for the lower ball mount.

Just the front sensors to do now and hopefully that's it, then I can have some fun watching the Accuair system in Auto Learn mode. The system moves the suspension through all of its travel on it's own to learn the travel extremes and then sets it up for you. I will try and video it and post it.
