geez..
if this is how typical Japanese folks do business, it's a wonder we have a good supply of parts here for our cars!
...oh wait, I wasn't able to get a donut spare because the wheel was backordered FOREVER so I rest my case...
and hey... I'm No 'post police' JUST vocal on my opinion. I was in Miami when I first saw a Blue SC430 with those wheels and I just laughed and figured it fit in with the decor. Then I saw one at a local dealership here in Chicagoland and just shook my head in disbelief. Each to their own. Obviously it appeals to a lot of people otherwise Toyota wouldn't have made it in the first place!
BUT I'm still interested in those wheel conversion covers Larry!!!!!!!!!!!

IMO ... the TRDs are waaaaay too "chromey". However, I'd be very interested in those wheel conversion covers, but I'd like to see them on a car first.
Unfortunately, Larry's friend (friend? HAH!) has forsaken him and we'll have to be looking elsewhere for satisfaction.

I find those rims repulsive....having said that, at my dealer here in NJ they are actually selling the cars with 18" BBS rims. Nothing too wild, they are nice rims however. Its just they have become like stock at this dealership, not a bad thing though.

warning, if you use
non-Lexus wheels, you may have the experience I had replacing the original "garbage can lids"with Enkei chromes. They looked beautiful but the car shimmied to beat the band. It wasn't till I had multiple trips back to the tire dealer and Lexus dealer, that the situation was remedied with a switch to TRD's (= Lexus made wheels). As I indicated on previous posts, the inflatiaion to 40psi pressure partially alleviated the shimmy. The switch to Lexus wheels completely cured the shimmy.

yup
Where wheels are concerned.. you get what you pay for. Wheels like Fikse, Kinesis and HRE and known in the industry to be extremely lightweight yet strong and are priced accordingly.
