Exclamation Request for Quick Help on Voltmeter Test on Amps! Luxlink owners or not

Gang-

Can someone with a luxlink help me quickly today if you are at home and have a voltmeter? Turn to Amps and disconnect positive terminal, turn car off, close doors, etc. and see what your drain is on your battery. When we unplug and uninstall luxlink, it goes down to about 41. So, the luxlink is drawing about 40milliamps on my car.

I'm curious as to if my draw without luxlink compared to those without it is similar?

I'm at the installer of luxlink right now and my car is sitting at about 81/82 milliamps.

Normal is under 50 even with accessories. 100 is considered excessive. No wonder why I am having battery problems.

Just curious as to what your cars are drawing, especially ones with luxlink.

If you all might be able to test really quickly today and get back with me as soon as possible, I would greatly appreciate it. Or even PM me and I'll give you my cell and e-mail. Thanks again!

Oh, forgot to tell you that battery was tested at installer and he said it was right on the cusp of passing the test, whereas dealership says "it passed" easily to me twice and would not replace. I may have an issue with this.

The battery is an OEM Lexus battery bought about five months ago, but has completely died about 3-4 times now due to whatever reason, I don't know.

He is going to charge it for me overnight and go from there while he is doing all the other work.

Just read this thread, I am currently out of town. I would have it done for you. Good luck with your testing.

Thanks anyway Mandy! I'm hoping Bob or John might be able to help or someone that has LL or a meter.
