Bought an '08 SC430 last weekend. Black/black, but trunk/luggage compartment is light grey/white. Every photo I've seen so far shows the same color in the trunk. Is this standard on all colors/combinations? Seems a little odd to me that it doesn't match the interior...

Yes all the trunk interiors are gray. Never seen any other color. Welcome to the forum!

No need to thank me, I'm a regular member just like you who volunteered to Moderate from time to time. You'll find many of our members have vast amounts of knowledge on our SC430s. And, if you have not found them already, I would strongly suggest reading through the "sticky" threads you'll see near the top forum index. In addition, the "Advanced" search tool allows you to do a keyword search AND limit it to this forum not the entire site.

It sucks that Lexus only offers this full size black trunk mat for the SC430 in Japan.

I agree, and don't think I've ever seen a trunk in any other color. My SC is black also, and frankly, I prefer the light gray interior of the trunk. I think this is done for the same reason all headliners are a light color. As for changes, I think there are custom carpet shops out there that would make a new mat in black for you if you send them your current one. Look for places that fabricate such mats for the interior and go from there.

Thanks tfischer and talwang, but if I were going to change it, I'd want all of the panels the same color, not just the mat. It's not a big deal to me, and I like the grey okay. I was just a little surprised to see that color in an otherwise, all black car.
