Thank you Bacardi and Vtur for all the detailed info here. Priceless...
I have had Bilstein HD up front for about a year now. Considering the Bilstein HD for the rears too. On stock springs.

Forgive me for sounding stupid...Where and how do you cut the bump stop?? Is that something you can DIY?

Ok, I found out the answer to the bump stop. I do have a question here: if the shock that came with the bump stop is say 3 inches long, wouldn't that kind of dictate how low that shock can compress down without bottom out the shock? if we were to cut the bump stop by half, would that ultimately bottom out the shock or blow out the shock when it was compressed all the way?

...hey guys I actually did this setup step by step, including cutting the bump stop. As I told Whitels in another thread, the only thing I would do differently, would be to leave the bump stops as is or not cut them. The car rides & handles fantastic & never bottoms out, but when you hit a good bump, it definitely lets you know it. I'm going to order some new bumpstops this weekend & install them, hopefully there will be a difference
