Default where and what front strut bar to get?

I'd like to get a front strut bar because all my previous cars had it and I could really feel the difference, mainly more tight front end.

So where is the best place to get it? I did some search and ruled out the toms bar and any other fixed bar since they may affect the alignment. I checked eBay but doesn't seem there is currently any bar on eBay for the sc430.

Hey there, if you want to go on E-bay and look for the GS 430 strut bar, the GS & SC use the same chassis so the bar will fit. Double check with the seller to make sure it will fit the SC before you buy. I would think that the E-bay strut bar would be a cheap knock off and would look great but may not stiffen things up as much as you might like. I am thinking about getting one myself but just for looks more than the performance end of things. If it tightens things up that would be a bonus!

Good luck!

Yeah, I saw a bunch of eBay bars for the GS. Anyone else knows if it fits our SC430?

Well, I used the eBay vehicle fitment selector and it shows not compatible with our car. Anyway, I asked the question with the seller to test fit on the sc430.

I have the toms front strut bar and it did not effect the alignment in any way. I put it on myself and was a 15 minuite job.

I heard for the toms bar you need to jack up the car. Anyway, I cannot justify a $400 strut bar for minimal effects.

Well I stand corrected, the guy I contacted on eBay said the GS bar would fit, that the chassis are the same. Guess you can't believe everyone! If you do find one please let me know as I would like to get one also.

mrblister,
Did the toms strut bar stiffen the handling/chassis?

Also I noticed you have "cnc frame stiffeners". Can you explain how those work and where you got them?

Thx!

Its hard to say about the tower bar. I felt a differance particulary with top down. I also have the daizens front and rear and I would say over all with all three mods the car handles much better
I feel that the tower bar really helps with the body roll when top doiwn.

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT A PAIR OF REAR SUSPENSION PLATES FOR $99.00 + SHIP I TRYED TO CALL VENDOR I FINALY REACHED HIM NICE GUY VERY KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT LEXUS IN SAN JOSE CA. HE SAID IT REDUCES WHEEL HOP AND IS MUCH STRONGER

Good news. Just got an email from this seller saying the bar also fits our car. Will order it to try out.

Received the GS bar today. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit. The bolts don't line up with the holes and the plate needs to be cut to fit on the strut tower.

Too much hassle so I will return it.
