say goodbyee to my sc430
Sadly i'm going to be trading the car in for something more efficient. one day i suppose i'll return with a 06+ sc430. Glad to be a part of the sc430 club as I have learned much more being in this group alone. thanks guys!
i put my parts for sale which i think are very reasonable.

No clue what car but perhaps a honda. No worries ill be back in the lexus game some other day.. Im leaving for the air force soon so i have no use for it.
Robert the box is incomplete still. Lots of work to finish it off to paint. I will probably keep it for down the road. Most definitely gonna have a sc430 as a garage queen.
Yess someone buy my parts lol

Wow...thanks for your contributions over the years. Sad to see a longstanding member and owner go. I don't think anyone on this forum (maybe a few others) has changed the look of their SC as frequently as you had! You certainly customized it and made it your own and had fun with it.
Let me know if you need any help finding a more efficient car...how about a S2000? Miata? How efficient do you want to go? If you still want a drop top and something really dependable, cheap, nothing beats a Miata!

I was thinking the newer styled civics. Great on gas and very reliable. I would keep the car but i really would have liked all the newer features of an 06+ so i'll definitely get another some day. The 5 speed tranny and no techtronic for my spirited driving gives me dissappointment every time. The next step for my car was a 06+ bumper upgrade and a lip kit that no one had.. Then finally sponsored with strasse forged wheels and new custom paint. Cant wait for that day to come! Love the car but if ya aint happy then ya aint happy! I'm most definitely having my heart set out to get another one as a garage queen. Theres nothing like a modded SC out in the road.

Tough to justify for efficiency. According to fueleconomy.gov the civic costs $1600 a year, the SC $2900. For 25 bucks a week I rather drive the SC. Also what you will lose in buyig a new car, at least four grand, it will take almost four years before you break even. Think about it.

Just noticed the site is basing the cost on 15K miles. That streetches my break even point over five years. By that time you would be getting rid of the civic. Not a good deal.

In almost every case the total transaction cost of trading in a used car and buying a replacement will more than eat up any possible fuel savings when moving to a higher mpg model. Only exceptions are examples where you are drive 20+k or more a year and are moving from something like a Chevy Tahoe to a Prius....otherwise most of the time the transaction cost makes payback a long way off.

Indeed a loss. i made my mistakes and its time to pay for it. I cannot use more then 40% of my rank pay so i have to get rid of the car, upside down or not, getting rid of my car would allow me to leave. I screwed mysefl for the credit check so im clearing eveything i can. My leg was screwed and i loss hope in joining and i racked up my CC especially after Vegas! Lol so yeah. You live and your learn. Its a tad more complicated in my situation but inwont go into further details. My bus accident ruined everything
