Exclamation Trim on Hardtop Missing - Please Help Identify (PIC)

Hello,

I just noticed that when my put my roof down I have a strange gap between my trunk and rest of the car. It appears I am missing a piece of trim which belongs to the hardtop mechanism. Reading VVtiBob's other threads, it appears this may be called "Roof Side Garnish Inner LH" and "Roof Side Garnish Inner RH"?

I am not the original owner, any ideas why the original owner may have removed it? The car was not "stripped", as it appears the rest of the trim on the car is present.

Yep those are pieces you mentioned. Official called the Package Tray Trim panel Assembly and PTTPA No. 2 They are pie shaped or quarter rounds and retract temporarily as roof passes by. The only reason I see for removing them is to cover up a broken component.

Thanks VVTiBob, that is what I assumed. It didn't even bother me until I noticed they were missing by browsing pictures on this thread... now I'm thinking about it and it makes me upset... lol Maybe I'll find them cheap somewhere, I'll look around.

well you should open the roof half way, and check and see if the other components are there. i.e. package tray motors etc the move the trim boards... and of course if they are in working order.
