Clunk when engaging drive or reverse

Default Clunk when engaging drive or reverse

When I shift from park to drive or reverse there is a clunk like lack is being taken up. Once I’m in drive and on the move there is no slack in the drive train. I have owned my SC430 (2002) for only six month so I don’t know if I have a problem or this is normal. The car has 58,000 mile on it. Thanks for your help.

The noise is probably caused by the front brake pads shifting... See how I fixed this annoying problem in this thread....
