Thinking of Selling my 2009 SC 430 Pebble Beach
I own the 2009 SC 430 Pebble Beach Edition. I have talked to my Lexus dealer who tells me that the SC 430's value will drastically drop due to the fact that they are no longer being manufactured.
My SC 430 has 14,000 miles. I work from home so do not drive very much. Always been garaged so in absolute perfect condition. I am a 61 year old female driver.
I also had Lexus add the iPod connection.
Have no idea regarding price. Does anyone have an idea of a fair selling price?
And, does anyone have an opinion as to what will happen with the value of the SC430's?
Is Lexus going to manufacture a replacement?
All responses greatly appreciated.

It all depends if they come out with a new SC. If not, prices should hold fairly steady. But if and when they do, prices will probably drop dramatically on newer model years.

I believe a fair price would be $500 and I am headed to the ATM right now.
But seriously, unless you bought your car as an investment, why worry? Its just a beautiful thing to drive and enjoy!
Besides, a dealer just wants you to buy something else from him, right?

Not sure about the Pebble Beach, but according to Edmunds the base car's average selling prices are $42, $45, and $48 for wholesale, private party and dealer retail for your mileage and in outstanding condition. Also, never, never, never listen to a car dealer in regards to pricing. Do your own research.

Thanks for your response.
While your $500 offer is tempting, I will pass at this time. (lol)
I cannot say that I bought it as an investment, but I do not want to end up waiting until the vehicle's value drastically drops. I am not rich. I worked hard to buy this one and want to get as much as possible out of this one so that I can buy at least one more nice car during my lifetime.
True, I have bought several cars from this Lexus dealer and sure he is wanting to close another sale.

If you're set on staying with Lexus, this will likely be the best Lexus you'll be able to afford in your lifetime. The LFA is obviously out of reach if you're not rich. And the next SC will likely retail for $80,000+ when it comes out. Personally, I believe it will hit the market around 2015. If you can afford to drop $90,000 (after taxes and everything else) on a car 4 years from now, then consider selling your SC now and getting the most out of it you can. If not, enjoy your car and know it's the second best car Lexus has ever made.
