I have Geico. I've been with Geico since I was 18 when i first got my IS. I started off paying 415 a month.. every 6 month renewal the price went down. Clean record. Got it down to 170 a month when i got rid of the IS Oct. of 2010. Raised my insurance back up to 215 a month with the SC. It is now currently 175 and I'm 23 now.

I guess age has value in the insurance industry. I am mid 50's and I am with Allstate. I am paying $900.00 per year for full coverage. That includes 100-300K liability, 100K personal medical, Uninsured motorists 100K-300K, 50K property damage, $100 towing expense, $50.00 per day for a rental car for 30 days. My deductible is $250.00 for collision and $0.00 for comp....

LET'S DO THE MATH....
$415x12=$4,980.00 per year....
If you would have waited 5 years before you started driving. Saved that money that you gave to the LIZARD, you could have received an auto for free....
Insurance companies are wonderful.... You pay their outrageous premiums for years, you have one accident and they try to mitigate their loss by not paying you what the car is worth. Then they cancel you.....

Albino,
Don't forget, they'll also raise your rate to make up for their loss when they have to pay out.
Insurance companies don't pay for the repair cost of your car when you get into an accident...they just finance the repair for you.

I had two kids run a red light coming off the interstate in Orlando. They t-boned me in my RX350 and rolled me down the street for about one hundred yards. The RX was totaled. I am glad I was in a Lexus. If not I would have been killed. No one saw the accident and there were no red light cameras at that intersection. I called Allstate and they payed for the RX350. Even after my $250.00 deductible, I made about $500.00 on the deal. That was 3 1/2 years ago and they never raised my rates. I know I was lucky to be alive and even luckier that Allstate was fair...

I've been very happy with State Farm. I've been with them since I started driving and have never had an issue. I'm currently paying about $1,000 a year with a $100 deductible.
I had gone over 10 years without an accident, but had two in the past year. One was my fault, I didn't see a patch of black ice and slid into a curb (about $15,000). The other wasn't my fault. A teenaged driver ran into me, admitted it was her fault, then lied about it when the police got there. My insurance had to pay for my car, but just filed a lawsuit against her. For now, they paid about $8,000.
They're also good about covering aftermarket parts without any hassle. They covered my Work wheels when I hit a curb and said anything that's bolted on is automatically covered. Some insurance companies require you to carry additional coverage.
My premium didn't go up much even after they paid about $23,000. I did lose my accident free discount, which was about $150 for not having an accident in over 10 years. But that's pretty reasonable all things considered.

Hi redliner,
I went with State Farm in 1971 and through everything over the years, I was quite happy with them. Then last year they raised my auto rates a ridiculous percentage. When I inquired I got some feable excuse about driving too many miles per year; it was about the same as I have been driving for many years.
Due to their changes in eligibility, I qualified for USAA and am now with them; and a much lower rate(s). I have both cars & house with them; as I had with State Farm.
40 yrs down the drain with State Farm. If you ask me, it is because I am now 70 and they don't want anything to do with old people.

I am surprised no one mentioned Progressive. My rate is very good..about
$450 /year, and with full glass coverage..a bargain. Had to get a new windshield and I did get a Lexus one, which was important to me.
