Hi BNR,

Not to get too OT but: I hated it when it 1st came out in 2002.

The only Lexus dealer in Portland, OR is ~ 3 miles from where I live. I looked at them in the Fall of '01. I rather liked them & I would have bought an '02 new but at that time there was an 18 month waiting period. I was not about to wait 1 1/2 yrs to own a car.

BNR & Jerry, I too, really didn't think much of them when they first came out in 02. I think I started liking them when they got rid of the pie tins for the stars, then changing the wheels all together.
We're had our since July of 08.

I bought my 2002 white gold/ecru in 2008 with 23k miles. It now has 34k miles and I am happy to say it has had luxlink on it since my 2nd week of ownership. I still clearly remember driving it home from the dealer (the night I bought it) on a beautiful LA evening (10pm) with the top down and a fantastic 75 degrees-what a fantastic experience. My best car EVER!!! Yep that was 3 years ago.

Got my 05 in Feb 2008. Must have come off lease when I got it CPO from a NY Lexus dealer. It's in better shape now than when I bot it and I have put on 20K miles in 3.5 years of ownership. Really satisfied with the car and I hope to keep it a long time.
