Rear "L" removed - BP installed
Thought I would post a pic of where the 2 holes are located once the rear "L" is removed. The process is the same as removing the other emblems. Unless your emblems are like PLAYTYM's and dealer installed

Did you buy the "L" only for the rear? Did you replace your front grille "L", too?

Care to let us know how much you got it?
So it is basically and take off (remove adhesive) and put on (with new adhesive) for the L logo in the trunk. Did you have to remove the trunk cover? Was there a clip holding the pins that go through the trunk?

I used a heat gun to warm up the adhesive, used dental floss between the paint and emblem working it back and forth. Removed the adhesive that was stuck to the paint and cleaned the surface. The emblem comes with tape installed, remove the backing, line up the 2 holes and push firmly. Very easy install! The 2 pins have no backing, clips or other attachments. No need to remove the trunk liner or even open the trunk. I will take a pic of the pins on the old emblem later.

You have provided just about every possible amount of info needed for someone that might want to do this also.
As I know nothing about these badges, I have a few questions:
1. This 'Black Pearl,' is that the color that they came in from the dealer?
2. Were these 'Black Pearl' badges an option on some version of the SC430?
3. Other than wanting the unique 'Black Pearl' badging, is there a reason why you did not just paint your original badges black? I also have a white car and would like to have black badges for it.
Thanks for any answers that you might offer,
