Default G-Spiders have arrived!!!

I sold my IS250 a few months ago and bought a 05 SC430 in WGC with Ecru. Bought it for 26K OTD with 45K and 1 owner. I got the service records on Lexus.com and it was fully dealer maintained. Been lurking here for awhile reading lots of threads So far I replaced the serpentine belt with a Gatorback, replaced interior, trunk, license and reverse lights with LED's, black Lexus floor mats and aluminum foot pedals... thanks to all the DIY
I've also clayed, polished, sealed and waxed the exterior. Looks awesome!!

I looked at hundred's of wheels. First were Toumalines and G-Spiders. Looked at all sizes, CL classified, vendors, internet, everywhere. I knew I didn't want knock-offs and knew I couldn't afford Works or Volks....I kept going back to Tourmalines and G-Spiders...so I made it simple....ask the wife right? She liked them both as well and couldn't decide either Flipped a coin and the G-Spiders won!!

Bought them from Sewell Ordered a set of Hankook V12 EVO's to wrap them in. I can't wait to get rid of the RFT's!!!!!! And bought some hubcentric Ichiba V2 spacers 20F/30R.....after reading LOTS of spacer threads.

I hope to have everything installed this weekend and post up some pics I still check in on the IS and RX CL sites(wife has a 330) but happy to be here on the SC forum

I was going back and forth between the G-Spiders and the Tourmalines as well! I settled on the Tourmalines and out 25mm front and 35mm rear for spacers and also wrapped them in Hankooks Ventus V12s. Love the look and especially the ride!

Thanks guys! I appreciate the commments! You can't go wrong with Tourmalines or G-Spiders. They look great on the SC. They come with the Lexus center caps, just haven't put them on. I am having the tires and wheels mounted this Sat.. I have my torque wrench ready to install the spacers - 80 ft. lbs. from what I've read. I will be sure to post pics.. Darrel at Sewell is awesome! He helped me alot when I had my IS. Ordered the wheels last Friday and they were at my door yesterday

I have Tourmalines but I sure will trade for the G-spiders in a heartbeat!

Great choice. Good luck with the SC. And yes the spacers will make a whole lot of difference.

They can but I would sleep better at night knowing I did it right torqueing them down right the first time instead of a tech making minimum wage

Just curious, why did you decide to part with the IS?

Also by doing it yourself, you will be re-torquing the wheels to make sure that they didn't over torque or under torqued the wheels. It's not any fun to find out along the road a couple months down the road, that they were too tight or worse too loose.

Too many problems with it. Six or seven recalls, about eleven TSBs I had done, nav problems, cd changer issues and the biggest problem being carbon build up in the engine. With the direct injection design flaw, that problem will never go away. My closest dealer is 210 miles RT and I never had a problem with them. They always take very good care of me I was offered a great price for it, sold it and bought the car I always wanted.

BTW, I had the G Spiders mounted up today and got rid of the RFTs. WOW! With the Hankooks it now rides and drives like a Lexus instead of a tank.
