Just like after owning an SC, you seem to see 1 every day.
Where Mandy lives in GA, there are lots of SC430s. I can testify to that cos I am one of the out of towners who adds to the SC430 population despite being from 850 miles north of town. Very little snow and lots of sun means SCs all over the place. Definitely a more popular car than in the northeast.

Prefer the SC with a spoiler though. Reminds me of a little duck tail without the spoiler.

It looks incomplete without the spoiler. But it doesn't look terrible. Believe it or not, some SCs didn't come with a navigation system in the early years. It was actually an option in 2002. I saw one for sale once on eBay, very odd!

Im glad mine came with the minidisc as stock rather then tape player. Dont think I could look at a tape hole back in 2002.. certainly not in 2011

spoiler was one of the first things I removed when I got my SC.

[QUOTE=aquanuke;6437867]Hey WIL44 always good to have another Londoner, im in South London, Sutton.

Hi Aquanuke

I am in North East London/Essex.
Lurked this forum for years and your car (and many others on here inspired me to start modding once Lexus wouldn't warrant my car any longer).
Love your car, but a bit radical for me as I am an old petrolhead. You must have bottomless pockets with the amount of cash you must have spent on it.
Haven't seen you post on here this year so thought maybe you had sold the SC.
I don't know about you, but I hardly ever see another SC (and I am only a mile from Lexus Woodford) let alone a customized one.
Blast Off has been posting recently and he is down near Southend.

Love to see your car in the flesh one day.

Best regards

Steve

Hardly use mine anymore tbh never used it much at all, got 20k miles on her and she's a 2002 year. Still like brand new. Think Ive taken her out the garage 4 times in the last 12 months.

Wont sell her though, not with the money she cost and about 20k extra I did on her.

Got a few cars but I mainly drive a 1.2 Nissan Micra

They are very rare my way as well, funnily though 3 people over the years in my local area have bought an SC. I think they saw my one

Mine is a weekend car too, also 2002, but with double your mileage. Most of the time I just use it on a Sunday to go and get my newspapers. I put about 1,000 miles a year on her driving down to Le Mans for the 24 hrs and that is this coming weekend. It is worth keeping her just for that drive. I have a thirties house with a garage you would struggle to get your Micra in, so it has to sit on the drive (with a cover over it in the winter).
Like you, I will not sell it, just give it to one of my kids when I can't drive it anymore.
Tell me how do you get away with not having rear fogs? The clean look without them is great. One of the guys on here suggested I get clear lenses and red LED's which I have now and it's much better.

Best regards
Steve

I do have a rear fog

In the pic the two reversing lights (white ones) at the bottom. I have the one on the right hand side wired to a switch under drivers dash that illuminates it with a red bulb.

Theres no law regarding how many reversing lamps you have, so one is fine and the only law for a fog lamp is its red. Never used it apart from its annual test.

Nice one aquanuke, simple.

I have smoked my clear lenses this weekend, a bit better than the red ones, but not as good as none!
What do you think?

I like the clean look without the spoiler but mine came with it and won't be taking it off anytime soon. To me it looks like it is "stuck on" as an after thought. They could have moulded it in to the trunk lid and still had the effect with a much cleaner look...

I like mine without the spoiler. A cleaner look, I think.
