The lag is pretty bad in comparison to other cars like MB.

No I wasn't literally meaning my gas pedal is right on the floor with 3-5 sec delay.. not by a long shot. I was emphasizing there is definitely a distinct delay in power when you significantly push down on the gas pedal for 1 to 1 1/2 secs literally speaking..

I am pretty sure this delay only affects SC's from 02-05 with the 5 speed auto.

Default throttle control

I think the lag is in most lexus vehicles. My SC does this as well so i bought a blitz tc a few months ago but havnt installed it yet maybe i will this weekend and let you all know what i think. I am not looking for a vast improvement but i do want it to get up an go a little easier without having to mash the pedal down so the btc should be exactly what i am looking for.

I know the transmission changed to a 6 speed in 06 but were improvements made to the accelerator and/or receiving unit?

Damn you Bacardi. I drove my car about an hour and a half today and all I could thing of was lag and how far I had to push my gas pedal! I never noticed before.

Haha that's funny.

I wonder what other cars you drive. But seriously, if you set to ECT power, the lag is not that bad. I drive in ECT power 100% of the time.

Today I rev'd to 6000 rpm redline to embarrass some stupid *** dodge truck driver. That guy was revving at traffic light next to me. In a few seconds I couldn't see him except in my rearview mirror. LOL

i like that, so you see we are not that slow for about 4200 pound car. i also use ect always. 300 hp isn't so bad. yes the lag is not so bad could be better.

I thought the sc430 weighs 3800 lbs? But it feels much heavier than my 3700 lbs BMW 330ci convertible.

Maybe you are right.

There's a lot of other factors that go into the 'feel' than just the weight

hi redliner8
i agree with you. my shipping weigh for my mufflers and x pipe and tips is 10 lbs compared to that big muffler i had and the center cat. dosen't sound like much but each pound we can get rid of, the car will go faster. if you want to go faster weigh is the factor on our cars. lighter rims, exhaust, ect, anything that removes weigh. 300hp will make you go faster, add go slower. thats just the way it is.
