Correct, Tourmalines is the same size and offset as stock.

That is accurate. It was softened up due to harsh ride complains.

To Both Mandy and BNR34 your rides look great. I guess I better get going and make up my mind on what size I want for the front of her car. I'll either go with the 25s I have in the front, and 30s in the rear or, keep the 25s in the rear and go with 20s in the front, or 25s all round. I think I'm lower than both "youse guys" with my teins. I'll have to check on what clearance I have. "Youse guys" should maybe think about coming on down with your rides. The roads are nice in both Georgia and Del Mar. lol

I wish you all had 20"s similar to mine so I can see what size to get. After my drop I would like to move them out a bit more by my Jedi Master (LSin75075) for Megans tells me not to do it, so I am staying put (for now) LOL.

Also, I am concerned about voiding my free lifetime balance/rotate at Discount Tire (they won't work on spacers or touch them at all) as well as my road hazard on my tires.

The store manager who I trust a lot (sold me about ten sets of tires over the years on my three cars) told me of many horror stories of wheels falling off with spacers and how they have a company policy not to touch them.

But that somehow intrigues me more to buy them! LOL

Mandy-I think you are right on the 20/30 being perfect. IMO the contour of your tourmalines push your wheel out a little more than pie plates or other wheels due to the contour of the spokes. Your car looks great regardless, but perhaps the 22/32 or 20/30 would be perfect. Ultimately it's how you feel about them!

Go get 35's in the rear and move the 25's in the front. Hope you do not rub.

Lowering...maybe but have never been a fan. I am happy with what I have and hope no rubbing and no vibration. We will see.

Agree scdoptop, if I could re-do it, 22/32 will be it! Hitting the sweet spot for the Tourmalines.

Fixing to go get some sun and see if it vibrates.

If you got some 25s already, just go buy a pair of 35s for the rear. All the other combos you mention would make it look unbalance. If you put the 25s in the rear, you need some 15s for the fronts. Front and rear need to have at least a 10mm difference in order to look the same distance Also when you lowered the car, the suspension camber curve moved the wheel in, so with a lowered car, you need a even bigger spacer to flush it out. For your car on Teins, 25/35 is perfect, trust me

Yes my car will come down eventually, just haven't got to it yet......I am gonna get some Tein S-tech, it looks great on your car!

Go drive your car some more and tell us if it rubs! From looking at my 20/30 though, I don't think 25/35 would rub....I am even thinking about getting some 40mm for the rear on mine. But then it also depends on the camber setting too, even half a degree of camber move the top of the tire quite a bit!

Just like everything, if you done it wrong, things goes bad. There are lots of idiots out there.

35k miles on my spacers now, rock solid, zero issue. The nuts holding the spacers onto the hub don't even get loose, I checked them a few times, they stayed tight, so I stopped checking them.

Solid no vibration so far, city driving though, no rubs. This weekend it will hit I-75. Let's wait and see.

Gentlemen I need your advice I have the following rims and tires on my car.




DONZ PRO GENOVESE 20 X 10 HYPER SILVER OFFSET 38
REAR TIRES ARE TOY0 PROXIES T1-S 275/30ZR20

DONZ PRO GENOVESE 20 X 8.5 HYPER SILVER OFFSET 35
FRONT TIRES ARE TOYO PROXIES T1-S 245/35ZR20


The suspension is stock except I have daizen anti sway bars front and rear and have a Toms tower bar in the front. Everything else is stock based on my tires and rims and set up would spacers do anything for my car ? I am not planning on lowering . Would value your opinions

Buddy-your set up is/was almost identical to my current (before coilovers) and past set up on my 02. I never did spacers because I told it wouldn't be worth the hassle and would be hard to get it perfect. When I lowered it changed the game. Your wheels look great on the car. If you did anything, go very small to start with just to get it "perfect". Honestly they look awesome...if it were me I would do nothing.

Unless...your tires are getting a little dry rot or need to be replaced from lack of driving (lol...5k miles), in that case I have the Yokohama S. Drives with 285/30/20 in the rear and 245/35/20 in the front will give you a little more rubber in the rear and probably fill any gap you may have---looks like you really don't have much. I doubt you need tires, but just in case. I know my 02 needed new tires after three years 5k miles just from sitting and not driving enough.

I researched extensively the tires I was going to by by their sizes on each mfg website. If you do end up getting new tires, be sure to compare the actual sizes-you'd be surprised as to how much variance a mfg/tread pattern makes even within the same size tire comparatively.
