Caliper Covers Installed - Pics

They actually help reduce the heat and the dust. They are ONLY "DUST" COVERS, not meant to be a BBK. When I get mine...I will have them engrave the Lexus logo and I 'm going with the bronze/gold color that you see on the Z's as my SC is white...should look nice and cut down on break dust, which is all I'm looking for. Painting the OEM calipers still looks like crap in the end and you don't cut down on heat or dust. My .02 cents!

The fact that they are so large...and painted...makes it appear to be a BBK.

I do see your point...however the product is made to fit over any caliper including Vette and many others that are much larger than our SCs. So my thought is the company is just trying to offer a product that works for all vehicles hence the size.

Just an Update on how these MGPs worked out...had to have new front brake pads installed yesterday and when the brake shop tried to put the caliper covers back on, they wouldn't fit. This was due to the width of the new pads pushing the calipers out to the extent that they rubbed. Sooo, I would have to say this experiment was a failure...I had to take them off all the way around and will now be painting...which maybe I should have done in the first place...you think? FAIL...anyone want a used set? lol
