I wish i would have invented these. I personally have BBK on all my fast cars but as covers these are a great idea to look nice and block dust. As a fake BBK which its not it would be very lame.

I think people are talking two different things...
1. If you want better brakes then buy an actual brake kit and BBK is a great choice!
2. If you just want a nice clean looking caliper these covers are great.
You can even get them custom engraved. I'm thinking of Red covers with the Lexus logo and Lexus spelled out filled in with white. I have a white SC.

You can get them direct from the mfr - calipercovers.com. I saw them in Motor Trend and am thinking of getting them for my wife's new IS350C. It should add a nice touch to compliment her Matador Red color.
Did you install yourself? Supposedly an easy install. The MFR also says that it helps to reduce the temp of the calipers.
Finally, do Lexus brakes create a lot of brake dust? I'm driving a MB and the brake dust is atrocious.

I installed myself and they were very easy to install. I was getting a lot of break dust, especially on the fronts, and these have dramatically reduced the dust.

I think they look fine! Were probably easier than painting the calipers. You could do one wheel at a time. Right? To do the painting you would have to get all four wheels off, because it's a two part paint and has to be put on in a certain amount of time. Also just painting doesn't do anything for brake dust. IMHO

Guy's talk about Big Brake Kits. If you seen all the real test between stock brakes and Big Brake Kits, the money is not worth what you get. Brake Covers give the look without the cost. The sc's don't need big brake kit.
I had a 93 Vett. 800 hp and had stock brakes 10.0 134 mph only thing I used was good pads.
