Well, you said how tall YOU are, but not how tall the person in the other front seat is. If you put one of them up there, the other would have plenty of leg room in the back.

But the problem with that is that the back of the back seat is almost straight up and down. Even if they had enough room for their legs, they wouldn't be comfortable.

Agreed, I've thrown friends back there a few times, and never actually sat in the back until I was working on the stereo and decided to try it out randomly, omg, talk about uncomfortable, I guess when they have the wind in their hair they forget about complaining. LOL

Kids can stay in the back. Big kids with the right weight. Pretty much it.

It can be done but at the cost of the comfort of the front passenger and driver. You'll just be driving with your knees more bent and back more upright ,but its doable. I'm 5'10

I had revenge on a Lexus salesman one time! They always have to go with you..so , it was pretty funny to have the guy in the back seat..especially on a long test drive! LOL!

Thanks for all the info guys. I really like the looks of the car over any other and its reputation for quality. My daughters probably wouldnt be in it for more than 30 min at a time, but the tight quarters is still a consideration. After we get thru this winter storm here in Indiana, Im going to go check out one in person.

Thanks again.

Hi Tony,

Re: My daughters probably wouldnt be in it for more than 30 min at a time

Just remember that these cars do not have an OFF/ON switch for the airbags; at least my '02 does not.

That is why my 5 1/2 yr old grandson only rides in my '03 Toyota pickup.

My kids are now 13 and 8. They have never once complained about the space in the SC. Of course, it probably doesn't hurt that other kids at school always say, "Whoa, cool car."

My take is that the SC is for two adults OR one adult and two kids.
