Thanks for the recognition about the SC and Encinitas.
i am doing a teacher training this weekend, the SC sits in the garage. I feel the same way as Solman about not driving in the rain and will drive the SUV in inclement weather. I just went out and purchased a bunch of quick detailers in between car washes. Good thing as I found that some birds found the SC to be a perfect target to poop on!
Encinitas is awesome and the people there are amazing. Taught a yoga class during the power outage and returned in the very deep darkness on PCH. Encountered a few very courteous drivers on the road home. People were either quietly enjoying the evening off the grid and under candelight or being festive. It is nice to experience people in the town seeing the blackout as an opportunity to savour the slower life rather than using it to take advantage of the situation as I hear happened in other parts of the city...
I digress.
By the way, VG donuts is a local favorite.
However, I probably end up more at Lotus Cafe.

I'd be willing to host a meet for SoCal for SC 430 owners. This is a link to my garage and this is just the "toy" part of it. It is a cross between a man cave and a well stocked craftsman tool sanctuary. It has an epoxy floor and my SC sleeps in it every night. To top it off, I can fit about 6-8 SCs in my driveway.

My location is diamond bar, which is near the intersection of the 60 and 57 freeways. I have a nice setup, so if we want we can have a grill out as the grill is directly behind my garage. Lets get a roll call of whose in and we can get a date going for the best weekend.

We can also compare mods. I personally have the pioneer head unit that has its own nav as well as internet options, Luxlink with rear window module, and a few other mods. We can also do light mods. As per a BBQ-we can grill out and eat in the garage and driveway while comparing our 430's---Who is interested?
