Default Alpine W505 7" screen in SC430

Hello All, I posted this thread to let SC owners know that you can put a double din head unit in the SC's. My installer charged $160 for the kit around the head unit (some people were trying to charge $600....Lol). He wired it so I can keep my navigation stock as well, and wired it so my antenna only comes up when I'm listening to the radio only. I have Focal 165a1 in the doors, and 4 inch woofers in the back. All being pushed by Arc Audio Amp. I hope this helps anyone looking to put a new head unit and speakers in the SC. This forum is amazing, thanks to all that provide great information.

Pics should be below.

Pictures of the install would be awesome! So the hide away door and everything still works along with factory nav?

Default Please, please post pics!

I have been trying to determine if this can be done and you have proven it. Thanks. Crutchfield and others say it can't be done. Good to know some hard work and ingenuity will work here.

Hello everyone, the links to the pics are below. For some reason I could not upload the actual image. Please don't let people stop you, this can be done. One I saw GZone's speaker install I was inspired!!! Thanks for the inspiration GZone. I hope I got his name correct.

Yes, the wood cover makes the screen hidden and you can keep factory nav. I took pics on my iPhone, I hope you like. Thanks everyone.

Gammalex, I'm not sure how he wired it so I can keep the factory navagation.

The old unit is not in the car. Since he did it, I am pretty sure another good installer can make it happen.

Did he gave you back the OEM radio? And if so, does the radio looks like it has been ''tampered'' with?

Any chance the shop that did this work is willing to sell the kit? What's the complete finish? Plastic? From the picture, it looks pretty good.

Will they also post the wiring diagram to keep navi in operation?
