I am almost positive the kit is made out of painted plexi-glass. I'm not sure he will sell the kit, but I will inquire. I don't think there is a diagram that he used, he must just be great with wires.

Beat-Sonic Japan does make a double din kit for the Sc430, and they also sell it directly on ebay.
However, that kit only works 100% for the SC430s that don't have the Mark Levinson system.
FYI, Mark Levinson is optional and Pioneer is standard for the 01-04 Soarer in Japan.
The face plates to the side will definitely fit, but the conversion harness needs some work.

I emailed Beat-Sonic here in the US and this is their reply concerning an adapter for the Mark Levinson equipped SC:

"The adapter that you are seeking will need to be custom made by our
engineers in Japan. The engineer will have to combine two adapters - the
MVA-11AD and SLA-82AAD and repin, rewire and reprogram the harness.

We have not determined the retail pricing on this kit yet, however will be
in the range of $400-$450. However, due to the product not being advertised
as of now, I can sell to you for $300 for the whole kit + shipping.

Please let me know if you are still interested and would like me to process
the order. I can invoice you directly to your email address.

Thanks,
Regards,
Eric Kwon"

Let me make sure I understand this correctly...

If I go with this product (i have 04 SC) and no additional adapter, I basically get a double-din with an adapter that would make my factory audio not work. And i'm paying $245.

But per email listed above, i can pay $300 that would get me the kit itself and two adapters needed to maintain my factory navi audio??

Is extra $55 worth it?

Part of the reason, I would consider double din audio is SO that I can go out and buy an aftermarket navi system. So perhaps extra adapter isn't all that necessary.

Does anyone have any experience working with this vendor?
Are they reputable?

Can you find out if these guys will provide an english version of their installation manual? What means of method will they accept a payment? Can we do it via ebay so it's somewhat 'protected'?

Keeping the factory nav audio working seems like a real plus to me. I'd likely be using the factory nav rather than whatever's in the double din slot because it's so far below my line of sight. My interest is in the improved audio/video capabilities. So, for me the dual adapter makes sense. Oh, and an english installation manual is a must.

I am not into the aftermarket audio or ICE system in this car, so I won't be the guinea pig testing it.
I think it is worth of the extra $55 if you are already willing to pay $245 for that unit.
They sell that same kit in Japan without the Mark Levinson harness for more than $400 at today's exchange rate.

The manual looks straightforward, they can at least label the wires showing you which wires go to audio, power and etc if they are not going to translate the whole thing.
The instruction says hand-free no longer works. Mode button on the steering wheel is disabled. Volume button on the steering wheel would work, but a little slower than the oem system.

Disclaimer: read it and weep
Neither English nor Japanese is my native language, so please don't hold me account for wrong translation.

Did you ever get a response on this?

T8LEX, just sent you a PM....
Would love to get into this as long as cost is reasonable. The ebay link will sell it for $250 so as long as your installer comes below that, i'm in!
