Thanks for the replies. I should have stated that I am running stock wheels and I ditched the runflats for Bridgestone's. The tires made a little difference but I'm looking for a softer ride and still being able to lower it. Does anyone know the spring rate of the stock springs? I believe what I want is softer springs, not necessarily less dampening in the shocks?

What you want is softer springs with softer dampers to go with it. A lot of times, it's not the stiffer springs that makes the car ride hard, but rather the shocks are overdamped for that particular application.
I'm not at home right now, but I will try to dig you up on some information regarding the stock spring rate.

I wouldn't exactly call Tein CS "budget" coilovers. I think most people here would recommend them as the preferred option. Unless they happen to be a vendor selling another brand

I don't think anyone was calling the Teins "budget" coilovers. They used the word "budget" as in refeference to the K-Sport (which go for about 1/2 the cost of Teins)
