Default New Magnaflow exhaust

I just got a custom exhaust completed last night. I was very impressed with the guys at the shop, especially the owner. They knew what they were doing, kept their word, & were very honest & professional. I've met with various shops in my area, & this shop was, hands down, the best. The guys that did the fabrication & piping were inspired by the exhaust in this link (see post #13); however, my exhaust isn't quite as "extreme": https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-430/256817-zees-exhaust-system-for-sc430.html

I'm about to take her for a spin & listen to her sing. On startup, the exhaust has a nice growl - noticeably lower, deeper, & "sportier" than stock. (Please don't ask me to compare them to the Blitz or any other system because I don't know what they sound like in real life. I've only had the stock exhaust.) I know someone may ask for a video clip, but I don't have the time to do that right now. Maybe later. In the near future, I may have the shop do some additional work on a custom intake.

I wasn't there to take pics, but the shop did. Here's the link: http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/proven-power/677613-lexus-sc430-proven-power-dual-2-5-409ss-exhaust-fab.html

Enjoy!

That looks really really good. If you don't mind me asking, how much did this mod run you?

That's a very good exhaust setup.
I like all your mods on the SC. Very tasteful.

As for a custom intake, a company in Japan named Suruga also makes one for the SC430.
Just want to give you an idea of different design in case you don't want one that looks like an Injen or SRT.

@ WISLUGGO - PM'd

@ Talwang - Thanks!!! I'll bring this picture & see what they can do. I was looking for something different from Injen or SRT.

@ jfmjr - Vossen VVS084; F - 20x9; R - 20x10.5. This is the only experience with the shop, & it's been a very good one, IMO. If you have any questions about other shops in the area, the Tampa forum may be a good resource. I've now dealt with 4 of the vendors on the site & have only had one bad experience. I've previously posted about my ML system/nav replacement. That vendor was great, & I'd recommend him without reservation.

@ 516IS - Thanks! Not bad for a custom exhaust. When I start her up, the sound makes me want to mash the pedal to the floor!

Best of both worlds there vs. an Injen intake.
Uses the srock "cold" air intake and resonator, both of which you forgoe with the Injen, and are likely the reasons you don't get any performance gains with the Injen.
also, doesn't seem to interfere with the engine cover.

Looks sweet! So no cats? Is there 2 or 4 O2 sensors, i forget? No check engine lights? I have a similar set up but with the cats and i wouldn't mind it being louder.

^^^ Yes the stock cats are still on the car and NO CELs =)

Im not on this forum much, but i have been recieving pretty consistent calls regarding SC430 exhaust questions, etc.

IMO this custom exhaust sounded just how a Lexus should ! Not to loud but just enough to get your attention =) but then again everyone has a different opinion on exhausts..

If the owner down the road decides to go louder. Then the option is easily there with a cat delete/custom CAI.

Since some members were asking if any others have delt with us. Here is another Club Lexus member exhaust (SC400) that was done over a year ago.

I appreciate the kind words from the community, you guys are def a great group !

I understand that there are a number of people who are wondering what the Magnaflow exhaust sounds like.

My exhaust doesn't sound exactly like this, but here's a Youtube vid of another Magnaflow exhaust that Proven Power (nekeone) fabricated. It's a clip of the SC400 that nekeone linked above.

I recently had a custom MagnaFlow exhaust installed on my 04 SC430, I just uploaded a video of it on YouTube. My camera couldn't pick up on some of the frequencies but it's the best I could do. Let me know what you think:
