In my '02 with version 9.1, there is no "System Option". only Resume Guidance, Map Appearance, Volume, Setup, Marked Routes, Route Overview, Edit Routes, Route Preview and DVD.

I found out that you use "DVD" rather than "System Option" and then it works. So the "Override" function still exists in V.9.1.

Thanks to Harold, I found that my system does work (with v4.1 on my 2002). I was trying too hard to hit the absolute corners of the unit -- not necessary.

In my 2005 SC430 the fuse is on the passenger side kick plate, fuse #29.

I was able to make a hybrid DVD with absolutely no problems. After I pulled the fuse and put it back in, I was able to get into the menu and Override with no problems whatsoever.

This is crazy. It doesn't work!

I use this method all the time but I am running gen10.1 nav software. I heard anything greater than 10.1 they've disabled this "hack." Also the steps above are slightly incorrect, in my opinion. I always start from the Language Menu Screen. When instructed which language i want (English/French and then the conformation of danger), I do the following before pressing the "I Agree" button on the right:

Touch upper left corner;
Touch lower left corner;
Touch upper left corner;
Touch lower left corner;
Touch lower right corner:
Find GPS OVERRIDE button and hold down until illuminated blue;
Press back in top right.
Then press the MENU Hard button above the Air Conditioning LCD;
Choose Language, select English and then"I agree".

This will give you override until you turn off the car. Upon restarting the ignition, you will have to redo the steps above. I use mine all the time on long trips or on the fly directions. Like i said earlier though (from my understanding), this will only work on versions previous to and including 10.1.

Additionally, you can always do this method on the fly while driving by hitting the HARD Menu button and going to Language.

Are you starting this procedure as soon as the nav door opens before you hit "I agree"? I think I saw I have version 11.1 of the maps for my 2002

Yes, you can do it at that point or if you've already started driving you can press the hard MENU button above the Climate LCD and go to the Language screen and do it there, also. Two options. Doubt that it will work with 11.1, but worth a try. I decided to stay with 10.1 since I was told that this hack won't work on versions after 10.1.

I just did this on my 2006 and it works perfectly....except that it does not beep when done. But that is not important.
None of the other methods worked. Thanks. I really like the simplicity of it. The other methods had me hitting the right lower corner of the screen and thast is where the "accept" button was, so it didnt work.
