Members with 2010 model? And how many built to date?
Just curious.. are there any CL members that have purchased a 2010 SC?
And does any one know how many 2010 SC's have been built to date?
If I was to guess, excluding the 200 Jewel models, I would say about
200..maybe less? Any one know?

Judging from the trend, I would not suspect many were built or purchased. We won't know until the end of the year and Toyota releases the production numbers for this year.

For me personally, I found it hard to justify purchasing a new 2010 just for the updated navi. While it would've been nice, there were too many great used 2006+ models with low mileage sitting around.

Yeah, they added a lot of little nice things to the 2010 model.
Updated nav, Sat radio, no tape deck, USB/mp3 support. Things that should have been added a long time ago.
They still DIDN'T include, keyless pushbutton start, cooled seats, radar cruise, etc.
I wouldn't mind if someone GAVE me a 2010 SC430, but no way I'd pay $70K for one, even if I had the $70K, which I don't.

man, I'm glad I don't care about any of the upgrades
that most pine for or I'd be disillusioned.
at some point, all classics represent benchmarks,
time capsules of the state-of-the-art.
the 430 will always be that, pure driving art.
now, punch out the center console and put in that iPad! ;-)

One of the things that I'm surprised is still absent from the SC430, is the lack of backup sensors or camera. This was one of the most useful features in my fiancé’s old car, a 2004 Jaguar X-Type (yes, even a 2004 car that was based on the crappy Ford Contour had backup sensors!). My fiancé’s friend has a 2006 IS250, which even has a backup camera. It seems that a camera would have been pretty easy to integrate to the old SC430 navigation system (the aftermarket had no problem making a camera hookup system).
I agree with eXstasy; the SC430 appears to have changed only minimally since 2002. Despite that, though, I feel it's a great luxury car and I feel fortunate to own one, even if it was purchased used.
I would also be curious to know how many were/are made for 2010…

They have halted production on the LS430 with more recalls coming soon. As for the SC430, kind of nice to know, it has been around long enough to be perfect. Come to think of it, my 03 is damn near perfect.

The 2007 added a knee airbag.

Here's a link for the SC430: http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/de...=SC%20430#used
Just click on any model year and you'll see a paragraph that says 'New for 20XX Lexus SC430'.

Also, what is with the radio? I take it that the display is now part of the main screen meaning that you can have NAV and radio info concurrently. Radio buttons are gone and it looks sorta funny. Not a good "upgrade" imho.
