News is that Michelin has developed a run flat for the upcoming 03 Viper convertable. The word is that it is a much lighter tire, with performance levels above any previous run flat. Ride is much smoother as it does not rely on thicker sidewalls to provide run flat service.

Michelin has a fantastic reputation, and if it turn out as well as I suspect, many of us SC 430 owners will welcome a smoother ride, with higher levels of handleing .

Did Michelin mention sizes? I'm not sure the Viper tires will fit the Lex! The new Viper is rumored to have 19x10 275/30-19 and 20x13 345/25-20, or thereabouts. I believe the production car will really have 18s front/19s rear.

True...Viper sizes will not fit our SC's, (except those BIG WHEEL guys) but it would be expected that the Viper tire's technology would be made into sizes across the line.
Indeed the 03 Viper will come with 19" rears. Got to have some real meat to handle 500 hp and 500 lbs torque. New 505 cubic inch V-10. Even will have 500 watt amp. (Those Dodge guys must really like the # 500.)
Manual top will have hard surface targa top section, soft sides, and glass rear window.
Look for them out in the fall. First year's production already totally sold out to current viper owners. No cars available to the general public untill 2004. Many of those already on a priority list.

The tires allready exist I saw them at CAAP last week. Hopefully I'll get to drive a SRT-10 at VOI 7 in September.
