Black Liquid Electrical Tape worked for me. I used wax paper rather than blue painters tape but should be the same result.

Default Wind noise

Replaced both of mine and the wind noise is gone. Did the work myself, you have to remove door panels which is not hard. Takes about 1/2 hour per door.

It is now my turn to replace the weather stripping, part 67864-24020 for the left or drivers side ordered. $53 from my local Lexus guy!
Everytime I wash the car a little water drips into the car...and I have some wind noise at the location of the ripped weatherstrip.
The Results may be this weekend...

I'm about to do this also. I got the part a few weeks ago. And then it got hot here in FL. I might just bite the bullet this weekend and get it over with.

I finally changed the drivers side window gasket. Mine had a slight split in the rubber around the window and this was causing a little noise and a small drip when I took it to the touch less car wash.
Here are a few pictures...

These harbor freight tools are great!!!

At this point the tweeter, mirror and door ECU have been removed. The window track nuts were also removed and this allowed the rubber seal to be removed easily.

Reassembled and ready to go!

Son of a gun! I just checked mine and they are strating to tear too. I haven't noticed a leak yet but I'll order them from Sewell and fix it. I always saws though on the Sewell website and wondered whynyou would need them ...

The tear usually doesn't cause a leak, just a whistle.

Mine only leaked if I took it to the touch less car wash with the high pressure spray. Otherwise, no leak.

After replacing three times (once via the dealer), I decided to go with the liquid electrical tape method. Although not as cosmetically pleasing as a straight up replacement, it works for me. Besides, the repair can only be seen if the door is left open.

$7.00 at Lowes...and I had at a least a 1"+ split

Thanks Harold, I have always wondered if this is a design flaw or the Windows need to be adjusted over time. It's like the window up stop wears out and allows the window to go up more than it should.

UPDATE, i just saw your post 72 Harold, Great Information!!!
I need to do this before I wear out the replacements!

Personally, I suspect that it is both a design flaw and in some instances a case where the window needs adjusting over time. I suspect that part of the problem is that the weatherstripping is not real thick at the apex and every time the door opens and closes, the window presses the weatherstripping up against the door weatherstripping and rubs/scrapes the two together. Over time that weakens the contact point to where it eventually tears.

I've heard a number of folks who change out the triangle weatherstripping only to have to do it again 6 months later. Part of that could be that the window needs to be adjusted downward slightly but I suspect that part of it is also due to wear (abrasion and tearing). But I don't have enough data to really determine how true that is.
