oil and oil filter questions
What grade oil are you folks using? I know some of you have gone to synthetic and am wondering what brand and grade you are using. Also, is everyone using the stock Lexus filter or an aftermarket one (oil filter that is).. What brand if not Lexus stock?

Mobil 1 5W30 and stock filter.
I have been hearing a few things about Mobil and them getting away from a 100% synthetic or something of that nature. Not really sure where that is headed but I have used this oil in several cars and never had a problem. I don't drive a lot so I do not mind getting my own oil and bringing it to the dealer for them to do at each oil change. I get it for about $6.00 (CDN) per litre I buy it in 5 litre jugs. And then one small litre for topping it up.
They want something like 11 or 12 for a litre at the dealer..
