Default Do SCs look good w/ Is350 rims?

hey guys,
anyone out there seen a SC430 with IS350 rims on it? in y'all opinion does it look good? are thier any pics out there? Ive seen one ride on CL with oem GS rims and i think it looks great but have yet to see an SC w/ IS rims. also, if i wanted to do a very suttle OEM looking drop, what would be the ideal setup to buy? just as many have stated on CL; the gap between the back well and tire is just too much and gives the car a very unaggressive look. anyhow, thanks for any help in advance.

Dave

i havent seen an 2sc on IS wheels but the way you describe it by adding a slight drop i think it should look really nice. Hit up the Photoshop threads and ask someone to do the chop of what ur describing and it will give you a better idea of what it should look like

The IS350 has staggered wheels and the tire sizes are different, too.
You need to do some calculation to see how off the overall diameter is.

As for the fitment, they will look as sunken-in as your sc430 stock wheels plus a set of staggered tires you cannot rotate.
You actually get the worst of both worlds.

+1 ^^ the offset will push them in more for sure...bad value. I've seen one SC in Dallas with the stock 18" IS (non sport) wheels and from side view they look nice, but front and rear look small. You'd be much better off buying some OEM Tournalines or Spyders or non pie plates 18" that fit better. Or MY wheels if you want a unique look! Check out classifieds or PM me.

I've seen ISx50 rims on an SC430. It looks good, much better than the pie plates from the side view, but I agree that it may 'sink in' too much. Plus ur putting wheels from a $35K car on a $70K car...personally I wouldn't do it

i think they look sharp, especially in chrome...would like to see rear view and side shot of the offset difference...wondering too if you could add spacers and hub rings to make it fit better???

Reminds me of back in the day a lot of SC300 guys were putting LS 16" rims on their SC because it came with the ugly 15" ones. LOL...times have changed-18"s are considered small! I remember my 1984 Celica GTS had 14 wheels and they were considered sporty!

LOL
