Did everyone pay MSRP or MSRP+?

NEVER MSRP+
if you buy from a Lexus dealer new, they are NOT allowed to charge over MSRP.. if they do, you report them ASAP to Lexus and you'll get the difference back..... I was told by 2 different Lexus dealers that Lexus does NOT allow markup over MSRP and is very final about that!

Got mine for MSRP but they did a few things for free for me.. Like Xpel and remove/mount the runflats on the new wheels (Thing I wished I had negotiated were the Black Chrome emblems since I saw a Winter Gold SC430 on the road today and it looked sweet.. IMHO).. Over the winter here in Toronto some dealers were selling below MSRP but now that spring is here and we now have NAVI equipped SC430's now you could get a dime off the car..
So guys and gals who are in the process of looking for an SC try to get them to include some goodies to make the MSRP hurt go away..

I guess you could technically say that we paid full MSRP.....but, we received a big whopping $700. reduction in the final difference of the trade-in. I traded an older Mercedes SL. Further, the value Lexus originally offered on the trade was $1,500. greater than what the Mercedes dealer offered on trade with a CLK.
I was also told by the salesman at Lexus that they were not allowed to sale for more than sticker. However, he added that the cars were selling for more tan MSRP at auctions, etc. Also, they had a used red SC430 with 7,500 miles for the same price as a new one on the showroom floor. Interesting, huh?

I traded my Acura NSX for the SC430 and got back $6,000. in cash from the dealer. The book value on the NSX was $64k......which means that if the Lex was $62 and the Acura was $64.......then I paid $58 for the Lex...........right ? I'm so confused. Anyway, they threw in pinstriping.
I think I got a pretty good deal. I do miss the NSX though. I wish I could have kept them both.

In Beverly Hills they mark up the SC430s by around $7K adding a "Tiffany" Package which includes Tiffany Embossing, chrome wheels and some other tiffany junk.
That's their way of marking up the car

Duh ... Sorry.
I knew your car was stolen - I followed the entire thread - but it just slipped my stiffening brain.
Gettin' old is no fun. Except I can use my IRAs to pay for my Lexus.

Winter discounts
My dealer (DiFeo Lexus, Bound Brook, NJ) was offering SC430's below MSRP during Winter - not sure extent of the discount. Its 98 degrees in NY/NJ and discounts are gone along with the cold.

I paid $1500 under MSRP cash in December 2001 "in recognition" of buyer loyalty since I bought my LX470 there 1.5 years earlier.
However, I wished I had deferred delivery until January 2 since I now have to pay a $500 2002 property tax I could have avoided had I waited 1 week!
