MSRP
I got lucky...This guy had a SC and a RX and apparently he ran into some issues with his company and he had to let one go...he traded both of them in for a used ES. The SC had about 1K on it but it sat there for a while since they were asking a price so close to a new one that no one entertained it.
Finally walked out with mine for about 7K under MSRP, all in.

I received delivery of my sc430 on 4/4/02. Of all the Southern California dealers I contacted, Lexus of Cerritos was the only dealership willing to deal below MSRP. I got mine for nearly $2,000 below MSRP.

I bought one at an auction with 9k miles on it. Love the Stereo, Hard Top,
and awesome interior. Just wish it was the body style of a Porsche! If I pretend really hard.....nevermind. The wife is in heaven and won't let me touch it. So, I guess I'll keep driving the BMW, Oh the pain. I'm not sure how much that is below MSRP but, it is from what I understand 7-9k below MSRP. But, hey it's used. I have to admit the garage looks pretty good with a BMW and a SC430 sitting there. I prefer the BMW for driving, but for luxury cruising, it can't touch the SC430.

Shipped Price Twenty-Eight Nine
I just got my car on Friday for a shipped price of twenty-eight nine!
OK, that was $28.94, not $28.9K.
OK, it was for the Motor Max 1:18 scale version of the car.
Isn't that sad to order the 1:18 scale version of the car while you're waiting to purchase an '03.
Enjoy the rest of your Memorial Day Weekend!

Lexus Champion
rscharf,
I know I was on the lookout for the diecast model for months before my SC430 arrived so at least you have the ability to get one.. Its hard when you place your order and you have to wait to freaking long so at least if you have the model in your office or home it makes the wait not so hard..

How did you establish a fair price?
Consumer Reports says that too many people walk into the closest dealership to buy their car without checking around at other dealerships.
My thought was to use one of the internet sites that gets you price quotes from multiple local dealers. Then, I thought I could walk into the dealer of choice and show them the competitors price (if it was lower).
Any thoughts on this approach or other ideas?
Thanks!
Robert
