Default Hello All !!

Just wanted to say to all. I'm new to the Forum. Just got my new Silver/Black SC430 about a month ago. Before that I had a 2001 Acura NSX T. I loved the Acura, but it just wasn't practicle. It spent more time in the garage than on he road.

The SC is GREAT !

This Club seems like a teriffic place to get lots of ideas and info........especially for a car buff like me.

Welcome, Larry!
Lots of good info here. If you haven't found any annoyances with your car, then don't read the FAQ -- you'll find 'em.
Seriously, it's great for validation. And check out the info on the C-BEST options if you haven't already.

Your profile says "Dash Kit" for a mod. What's that?

Thanks. Actually a "dash" kit isn't exactly a mod. It's mostly cosmetic. What it is is a few more pieces of wood trim that I added to the interior......speakers, A/C vents, ignition switch, door switch covers, etc. Lexus wanted $1,500. for this. I ordered the same kit that they use from Superior Dash in FL for $146.00. It takes about 30 minutes to install all the pieces. All you need in a hair dryer, a few cotton *****, rubbing alcohol (to clean the area) and a steady hand.

I'm also looking to lower the suspension. Do you know if Eibach has a spring kit for the SC ? I've had good performance with them on my NSX and a VR4.

Thanks !

Welcome Larry,

I am sure that eibach makes springs for the SC. I was told they won't be out until May. I think there is an Lsportline drop. Look in pages further along. There were several posts regarding this inquiry. Enjoy Club Lexus, but beware! Once the mod bug hits, you can't stop. Believe me!

Thanks Marc.

As far as the "mod bug" goes..........I've was bitten when I got my first car in 1968. It was Plymouth RoadRunner.......383 ci motor with 335 hp. You can't even begin to imagine what I've spent on mods for various cars since then ! Intakes, exhaust systems, chips, springs, shocks, dash kits, tail lights, bulbs, stereo systems, wheels. PLUS.......I do my own detailing and have almost every product know to man and then some !

I am a class A motorhead and used to be a pretty damned good mechanic. With all the changes in engines and computer systems, I'm lucky if I can change plugs, or even find them !

Hi PH,

Yes, I would like to see a photo. I don't want to low a drop. I don't want to hassle with any camber adjustments.

Thanks !
