I was looking at an SC430 yesterday and notice there are no pop-up rollover bars. Now I know convertables are not mandated to have them, but I am shocked at a car at this price doesn't have them. I wonder how safe this car would be in a roll-over.

Could be wrong, but believe the rollover protection is in the rear seat headrests... Part of the reason I bet Lexus chose to put in a relatively useless back set -- much more esthetically pleasing this way.
